This is an example of using the Google Map API along with the Zillow.com property information API. API stands for "application programming interface" and allows a developer such as myself to access another website or companies data so that it may be reworked or integrated into another website or interface.
Launch Custom Google Map with Street View and Zillow Value Integration
In this example we are accessing Google’s mapping and streetview information as well as Zillow.com’s real estate property information. Not only can a user get an idea of their property’s current value but they can also view information on comparable homes that have recently sold. The user can also click on a corresponding house icon to see a panoramic street view of a recently sold house or their own property.
To demonstrate this process, click on the link above, enter address and wait for home value along with recent home sales as provided by Zillow.com through their API. You will also be presented with a Google map of all properties returned. If you click on a house icon you will get the street view, where available, of that house along with 1 year and 5 year value trends.
